Giraffe

This is just a giraffe I did for fun in Illustrator and Photoshop.

Font Poster: Birth of a Hero

Birth of a Hero

This is a font poster I made for class.  It features the font, "Birth of a Hero" by Guillame Seguin.  He is a contemporary designer who creates many free fonts on dafont.com.  I interviewed him via email to get the content for the poster.  If anyone is interested in reading the copy let me know!

Pop Culture Poster Series

90's

80's

70's

60's

50's

I made these posters as part of my independent study class at the University of Miami. The posters are made up of icons from the 90's, 80's, 70's, 60's and 50's, respectively. I mainly played around with readability with these designs.  Each one is 11X17" and they're meant to be viewed up close because of the subtle elements each include.  For example, I included a hidden Waldo from the "Where's Waldo" series of children's books in the 90's poster.

The All-American Guide to Preparedness

The All-American Guide to Preparedness

I made this cartoon for class a couple years back. It is about the ridiculous distractions and scare tactics the government was using to distract the public from the corruption going on within the government itself.  I drew it by hand and used Illustrator to color it in.  I used Illustrator to place the type, too.

Fairy Tails Logo

Fairy Tails Logo

This logo was part of a class assignment to find a non-profit organization to design a mail-out for.  I chose Fairy Tails adoptions (a no-kill adoption agency for cats and dogs), and I made this logo because I thought the one they were using was pretty bad, and because they had "logo" on their list of things they wanted so that made me think they were unhappy with the one they had.

High Tides Happy Hour e-invites

These are e-invites I made for a promoter to advertise happy hour at the Tides Hotel's Restaurant, La Marea. They were emailed out to attract more Friday night business.  As you can see, their desired focus changed week to week from being on the location itself, to sex appeal, to a fancier style with a wedding invitation feel.

Graphic Design for Dummies

Print Cover

Print Spread

This design was a class assignment to make a cover and inside spread for Print Magazine.  I chose to make an issue geared toward students and to use the "Dummies" how-to book series as my inspiration.  I replaced "dummies" for "students" and made my own character with a thumb drive to replace their normal triangle-faced guy.
